Richard Le Sueur
Hello
Greetings All.
My name is Richard and I shall be your host as you travel through my website and visit my associated social media venues.
Here you see me getting ready to go out for a pleasant summer drive in my classic 1999 Mercedes SLK 230. The car is a bit different as it is from Japan and is right-hand drive.
My Story
In the past I never considered that I lead an overly interesting life, however I have since learned that "interesting" is very subjective and has a variety of concepts.
I have not been much of a dare-devil or thrill-seeker but I have done things and been places that many others have not. However, it seems that there are those who enjoy my recollecting of these occasions, and that is one of the reasons that I have chosen to create this website and my associated social media platforms. Another reason is to share some of my thoughts and various media, because generally, sharing is good.
Over my lifetime I had a career in Canada's military, have worked for various charities and non profits, had several businesses and prior to my final retirement worked on a casual basis at a local Royal Canadian Mounted Police detachment. I have lived in Canada literally coast to coast to coast and yet seem to have merely touched the surface of what our country has to offer.
Am proud to have been a member of Kiwanis International, both in Western Canada and Malaysia Districts, since 2001, serving in positions from local to international, with my primary focus on children and youths.
Generally I can be found in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, spending much of the summer driving my sports car or riding my motorcycle, and, during the white season, often in Melaka, Malaysia, relaxing and traveling to visit family and friends.
Through marriage to my wife Kim, we have a blended family, totaling four wonderful children and seven amazing grandchildren. I love people and yet spend an inordinate amount of time by myself.
I am not shy about saying that I like/respect/admire someone, may offer criticisms of those I don't, but I refuse to publicly badmouth or speak in a derogatory form about anyone.
Generally, I avoid pontificating about politics or religion, however I will often speak on social issues and at times when I believe that injustices have occurred.
Some of the words and visuals that I share may be thoughtful, some witty, some perhaps silly. Whatever it is, it is all from me. I welcome any who wish to follow me, and I welcome any feedback, as long as it is not rude or vulgar, in which case it will be ignored and deleted.
